Don’t want State Taxes? Vote YES to Prop 4! (Explanation In Article)

Voting “No” on proposition 4 is a vote to allow State taxes to be allowed without a 2/3 majority vote.

If you want to keep YOUR money that you earn, and make it difficult to create state taxes in the state of Texas, vote “Yes” on the ballot. The wording may be a little tricky, but here’s the wording from the state website:

Proposition 4 (HJR 38)

“The constitutional amendment prohibiting the imposition of an individual income tax, including a tax on an individual’s share of partnership and unincorporated association income.”

As you can see, we are voting “YES” for a constitutional (Texas) amendment to prohibit individual taxes. Texas is one of seven states which doesn’t levy a personal income tax. It never has, and in 1993, a state constitutional amendment gave voters the power to ever approve one.” (emphasis added, mine)

As always, we believe every citizen should make their voice heard through voting. It is important, not just to vote, but to be informed about your vote. Early elections begin TODAY, October 21 and end November 1. The final day for voting is Election Day, November 5, 2019.
